The data controller who does not respond to an access request has to be fined

The Italian Data Protection Authority, with order-injunction no. 236 of 16th June 2022, has fined a data controller who had not replied to a request of access to personal data which was made according to the EU Regulation no. 679/2016. The Authority did not accept the justification given by the data controller who had affirmed that the access request seemed to have been made pursuant to law no. 241/1990 on administrative procedure.
